Terms & Conditions

The practical rules for reading, contributing to, and interacting with Online Story Hub.

Last updated: August 12, 2026.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of onlinestoryhub.com, its pages, forms, features, emails, and related services operated under the Online Story Hub name. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Online Story Hub; “you” refers to the person accessing or using the website.

By using the website, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website. Some activities, including paid editorial services, competitions, memberships, or special publication arrangements, may have additional written terms. If additional terms conflict with these general terms, the more specific terms govern that activity.

1. Who may use the website

You may use the website only if you can lawfully agree to these terms. If you are under the age required to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept the relevant terms on your behalf. Children should not send personal information or submit work without appropriate adult involvement.

You are responsible for making sure that your use complies with the laws that apply to you. Access from a particular country does not mean that every feature, story, service, competition, or payment method is legally available there.

2. Reading and personal use

Online Story Hub allows you to read and share links to publicly available pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may quote short portions where the law permits, provided that the quotation is accurate, proportionate, attributed to the named author and Online Story Hub, and linked to the original page where practical.

You may not copy complete stories, create substitute archives, remove bylines or rights notices, sell our pages, republish content in newsletters or apps, train commercial systems on protected content, or use automated tools to extract substantial parts of the website without written permission. Browser functions that create a temporary copy for ordinary reading are allowed.

3. Accounts and access

If accounts are introduced, you must provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the law says otherwise. We may require verification, reset access, or suspend an account to protect users, rights holders, or the website.

Do not attempt to bypass access controls, probe security weaknesses, overload the service, interfere with another user, introduce malware, or use credentials that do not belong to you. Responsible security reports should be sent through the contact page with enough detail to investigate and without publicly exposing users or systems.

4. Submissions and user material

“User material” includes stories, comments, biographies, messages, images, corrections, reviews, and any other material you provide. You keep ownership of your original material. Merely sending a submission does not transfer copyright to us and does not guarantee review, feedback, acceptance, or publication.

You promise that you have the rights needed to provide the material; that it does not knowingly infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights; and that any factual claims presented as fact are not deliberately deceptive. You must disclose relevant prior publication, contractual restrictions, and substantial use of generative artificial intelligence when requested by the submission rules.

If we accept a work, publication rights will be stated in a separate message or agreement. Unless that agreement says otherwise, you grant us only the rights reasonably needed to review, edit, format, publish, display, promote, archive, and technically distribute the accepted work under the agreed arrangement. You remain responsible for retaining your own copy.

5. Comments and community conduct

Where comments or community features are available, disagreement is allowed; abuse is not. Do not post targeted harassment, credible threats, discriminatory abuse, private personal information, impersonation, spam, fraudulent promotions, malware, or material that unlawfully exploits another person. Do not coordinate manipulation of votes, reviews, or engagement.

We may moderate, edit, hide, restrict, or remove community material when we reasonably believe it violates these terms, creates legal or safety risk, disrupts discussion, or is unrelated to the page. Moderation is imperfect and delayed review does not mean endorsement.

6. Editorial discretion

We decide what to publish, feature, correct, label, archive, or remove. We may decline a submission without providing detailed reasons. We may make copy edits for grammar, clarity, formatting, accessibility, style, and technical presentation. Material changes to an accepted story should be discussed with the author where practical and consistent with the publication agreement.

We aim to correct meaningful errors. A correction request should identify the exact page and disputed passage and provide reliable support. We may preserve a record of changes or removal when editorial integrity, safety, or legal obligations require it.

7. Intellectual property

The website’s design, brand elements, software, original editorial material, selection, arrangement, and other protected elements belong to Online Story Hub or their respective licensors. Stories, artwork, photographs, and contributor material belong to the credited rights holders unless stated otherwise.

The Online Story Hub name, logo, and visual identity may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or an official account without written permission. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of our trademarks, domain, templates, or publishing system.

8. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe material on the website infringes rights you own or are authorized to enforce, follow the procedure on the Copyright & DMCA page. A complete notice should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing page, your contact details, your authority, and the requested action. We may forward the substance of a complaint to the contributor where appropriate.

Knowingly false or reckless complaints can harm writers and may create legal liability. Do not use the copyright process to suppress criticism, parody, lawful quotation, or material you simply dislike.

9. Editorial services and payments

Paid editorial work begins only after the scope, fee, timing, deliverables, and relevant conditions are agreed in writing. A request for information or quotation does not create a contract. Editorial feedback is an opinion intended to support revision; it is not a guarantee of publication, sales, awards, representation, ranking, or any other result.

You must pay agreed charges according to the project terms. Refunds, cancellations, revisions, rush work, taxes, and payment processing will be handled under the specific service agreement. We will not add substantial work or fees without your approval.

10. Third-party services and links

The website may link to or rely on hosting, analytics, email, payment, security, social-media, advertising, or other third-party services. A link does not mean that we endorse every statement, product, or practice on the destination site. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for an external website merely because it is linked from a story or resource page. Check the destination, especially before downloading files, paying money, or providing personal information.

11. Advertising, sponsorship, and affiliate relationships

If we publish sponsored content, advertisements, or affiliate links, we aim to label the commercial relationship clearly. Advertisers and sponsors do not receive the right to rewrite independent editorial conclusions. We may receive compensation when a reader follows or buys through an affiliate link, without necessarily increasing the reader’s price.

You are responsible for evaluating any product, service, opportunity, competition, or claim. Appearance on the site is not a personal recommendation unless we clearly say so.

12. Availability and changes

We work to keep the website available, secure, and accurate, but online services sometimes fail. Pages may be delayed, changed, moved, restricted, or removed. Features may be introduced or retired. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device and browser.

We may update these terms to reflect new features, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated date will change when a revision is published. If a change materially affects an ongoing paid service or existing publication agreement, the specific agreement and applicable law will determine how that change applies.

13. Disclaimers

The website and general resources are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not make warranties about uninterrupted operation, completeness, accuracy, suitability for a particular purpose, or results obtained from using the website. Fiction may contain invented people, places, organizations, and events. Contributor opinions belong to the contributors.

Nothing on the website is legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice. Seek an appropriately qualified professional when a decision requires one.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Online Story Hub and the people working with it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from the use of or inability to use the website, including loss of data, opportunity, reputation, revenue, or expected benefit. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it will be limited as far as the law allows.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or other matters protected by mandatory consumer law. Your legal rights may vary by location.

15. Indemnity

Where permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for reasonable losses, claims, and costs arising from material you submit, your deliberate misuse of the website, or your violation of another person’s rights. This provision does not require a consumer to assume liability that applicable law does not allow.

16. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, users, contributors, rights holders, or legal interests; to investigate abuse; or to respond to repeated violations. You may stop using the website at any time. Provisions concerning rights, liability, disputes, and records may continue after access ends where their nature requires it.

17. Governing law and disputes

Unless a specific written agreement says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Online Story Hub in India, without overriding mandatory protections available to consumers in their own jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and describe the dispute so both sides have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.

18. General provisions

If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a permanent waiver. You may not transfer an account or service agreement without permission where consent is reasonably required. Headings are included for readability and do not limit the meaning of the text.

19. Contact

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Include “Terms of Use” in the subject and identify the section or activity you are asking about.

These terms are a detailed operational starting point, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice. They should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before paid services, advertising, accounts, competitions, or contributor contracts are launched at scale.
