Online Story Hub aims to make stories and essential site functions usable by readers with different visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, and technological needs. Accessibility is not a one-time badge. It is an ongoing part of design, editing, testing, and correction.
What we are working toward
- keyboard access to navigation, forms, and interactive controls;
- visible focus states and sufficient colour contrast;
- semantic headings, meaningful link text, and descriptive image alternatives;
- responsive text and layouts that remain usable when zoomed;
- plain-language instructions and form errors that identify the problem;
- reduced unnecessary motion and compatibility with common assistive technology.
Known limits
Older contributor media, third-party embeds, externally hosted documents, and automated content may not always meet the same standard. We will prioritize barriers that block reading, submission, contact, or legal information.
Report a barrier
Use the Contact page with “Accessibility” in the subject. Include the page URL, what you were trying to do, what happened, your browser or device, and any assistive technology you wish to mention. You do not need to disclose a disability.
